“It became increasingly plain to me that the mandala is the center. It is the exponent of all paths. It is the path to the center, to individuation." -- C. G. Jung

Dana Huffman is a Los Angeles based artist known for his intricate geometric abstract drawings & paintings.

A formally trained musician, he earned his BFA from California Institute of the Arts in 2001 and studied jazz composition at Berklee College of Music in Boston. He worked as a live sound engineer for many years while composing, recording and performing his own music. A surprise-of-his-life creative breakthrough came during a series of experiences with Holotropic Breathwork™, a transpersonal experiential practice, and Dana’s background in instrumental improvisation and electronic music reincarnated as visual art. These sonic influences may explain the common misconception that his ink, pencil and acrylic works are computer-based renderings.

Dana’s art has been displayed in juried competitions and he enjoys opening his studio to the public in the annual Topanga Artists Studio Tour. Dana became a certified Holotropic Breathwork practitioner in 2015 and co-facilitates workshops in California. His current musical project explores the electronic manipulation of his visual images controlled by live instrumental performance.

He lives and works in Topanga Canyon.
